FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the benefits of getting support from playlists?

  • Streaming platforms pay more than double what Youtube does for streams so success on streaming platforms means success for your bank account too!

  • Major labels make the majority of their money now from streaming services so they are always seeking new artists who are gaining popularity on streaming platforms.  Popularity on streaming platforms = interest from big labels.

  • Music supervisors seeking film and TV sync are now utilizing streaming platforms' playlists to find new music to license.  Sometimes being in the right playlist will get you an opportunity to have your music licensed.

I have just ordered a monthly playlist plan what do I do now?

  • Use the contact form on the home page to send us the song's URL link relating to the song/video that you want to be promoted on streaming platforms over the coming month. We will however contact you within 1-7 days of receipt to ask for this information if we haven't received this information from you.

I just want to pay for one month of playlist Promotion, do I have to set up reoccurring payments through a monthly plan?

  • No! You don't have to have a monthly plan, we have the same packages under our services page that are one-off payments for one month only. Only use our monthly plans if you accept you will have a monthly bill until you cancel, this does, however, mean that your playlist promotion will be ongoing from one month to the next.

Can I promote more than one song with a monthly playlist plan?

  • You can only promote 1 song per month but you can change the song/video only once per month and when you want to change you must contact us with the new link before the following billing date or we won't be able to change the song/video we are promoting until the following month.

How can I cancel my monthly plan?

Simply email us after you have received your playlist monthly report and at least 7 days before your next billing date.

I have placed an order on your website, it's been a couple of days and I have seen no changes, when will my playlist campaign start?

  • All playlist campaigns start every Friday morning and reports for that week are sent out before the following Friday.

  • Please don't email us asking about your order unless it is a minimum of 14 days since receipt.

  • As much as we love replying to 'when is my playlist order going to start emails' it takes time away from us emailing curators and going through the many orders we receive every week.

  • Don't worry we aim to go through every playlist order thoroughly, which is all the more reason for our clients to be patient and avoid causing us unnecessary delays by contacting us before the order has started.

  • If it has been more than 14 days then please get in touch via the onsite contact form at the bottom of the home page or the live chat, making sure to include; the service you ordered, artist name, song name, relevant URLs/links and most importantly your order number when corresponding with our staff to speed up your inquiry.

Do you do album campaigns?

  • Spotify playlists curators never playlist a whole album and we would always advise doing a Spotify playlist campaign on a song-by-song basis to get the most out of your release, however, you are free to submit an order for every song on your album at the same time, if you so wish. If you wish to do this, bear in mind that you would have to place separate orders for each song on our website.

Does it have to be a new release?

  • No, it doesn't, but we would advise that your submission has at least been released in the last 12 months (preferably the last 3 months) for the best results.

Can I place an order before my song is released?

  • No, we need a live song URL to begin work, both ourselves and independent playlist curators can not listen to songs before they are released.

What playlists will my song be placed on?

  • We are a pitching company and don’t own playlists so we don’t know what playlists will accept your song until we start the pitching process.

Can I see a list of playlists in your network?

  • We use a database of every independent playlist on streaming platforms.  When someone orders a campaign, we sort by genre and start pitching to playlist curators.  We don’t provide our database contacts but you will receive direct links to all the playlists your music has been accepted on.

  • For real-life examples of past clients who have had success with great playlists, visit the previous clients or results tab above.

Do you guarantee a playlist placement?

  • Although we can’t guarantee placement for every song we receive, we do our best to accept only music we feel will do well with our playlist curators.  If for some reason your music is not accepted, we will provide a complete refund.  In most cases, if we don’t get support within the promo package time frame, we’ll continue to submit until we reach the desired results.

How many plays and followers will I get?

  • The number of plays and followers you can expect varies greatly depending on how your music connects with people.  Every playlist curator we pitch to is independent and they do not work for us. Some have very active followers and some do not. The streaming platforms also do not count plays on a song unless it has been played for:30 seconds, so if your song is skipped a lot, you will not see a rapid gain in your statistics.  On the other hand, we also have clients who after getting in one playlist, go viral getting hundreds of thousands of plays within days and sometimes millions of streams when the song has peaked.

What can I expect from a playlist campaign?

  • After you’ve made your payment, we start submitting your track to independent curators the following Friday.  It can take up to a week to start to gain acceptance.  Sometimes longer (14 days maximum). This is real promotion and it involves waiting on curators to update so it’s important to be patient. When your song gets approved, someone on our team will send you all the links to the playlists you were accepted on.

How does the playlist approval process work?

  • When listening to a new submission, our team looks for music that evokes emotion, has an infectious hook, and displays a professional level of mixing and mastering.  The better a song scores on these levels, the larger the campaign we can approve.

Do you participate in payola?

  • Paying for playlist placement violates the terms and we do not condone this type of activity.  However, we know music curators can be very busy and we respect their time.  For this, we do offer them a donation for considering your music regardless of their decision.

How do you get my track supported on playlists?

  • We’ve spent the last couple of years researching contacts for independent playlists and with over 5 billion Spotify playlists, we are gaining new contacts every day.  We focus on playlists with a minimum of 5,000 fans, however, it can also be beneficial to get support from a mix of smaller playlists too so we don’t leave them out.

How do I get support from one of the big in-house playlists?

  • Anyone can now submit to them via a tool inside your personal Artist Insights page.  However, an article on Buzzfeed states that these in-house curated playlists also use data from a software called PUMA (playlist usage monitoring analysis) when making decisions about which independent artists to support.  They are more likely to support the music that is being engaged with by users and shared often by independent playlists.

How long will my song stay on the playlist?

  • Independent curators typically keep a song for a minimum of one month or longer but there are exceptions.  Some playlists switch out songs every 2 weeks that aren’t doing well with their playlist followers. and the lowest package ($59.99) does not include monthly positions on their playlists.

What if I Suspect a playlist that has supported me has fake or inactive followers?

  • Our database of curators is always growing and that means sometimes we may pitch your track to a new untested curator.  Please notify us if you feel you’ve been accepted by a fraudulent playlist and we’ll remove it from our database and won’t count it towards your campaign.

I am a curator with playlists.  How do I join your network?

  • Please send links to your playlists with the subject line CURATOR via the contact form at the bottom of the home page and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
